THE HATE YOU GIVE, LIVES INSIDE FOREVER (THUG LIFE)
Credit to Tupac Shakur and his other friends who are the original owners of the word. Albeit I won’t be going by their definition of a thug. You see, a lot of us see a thug as someone who is ruthless, someone who doesn’t care a hoot about the feelings of others.
We see them as someone who are bad-tempered, not serious with their life, and ill-behaved and we just zero on them. We look at them from a distance and we just decide that they are not to be reckoned with and we blame them for their kind of personality.
However, have you ever cared to actually sit down and think deeply; beyond what every other person is saying? Outside of that moment when they were a “nuisance” to you or to someone you know, have you met them? They are always obedient to someone, they’re always listening to someone, they’re always respectful to someone and then you will just have to wonder, is this the same person that has been misbehaving?
One sad truth I have learned about life is that, if you want love, you got to give love. If you want trust, you have to trust people too. If you want people to give you gifts, you have to learn to give people first. When you give hatred to a certain person, they will unconsciously give the same back to you. That is just the way we humans have been created to be. Many of us are like coconuts; hard on the outside but soft and juicy on the inside.
Some time ago, I decided in my heart to start seeing dear to me no in a different life, the moment I changed my perspective of relating to her like just a person, she started treating me the way I had longed to be treated. I had always seen her as just a relative but wanted her to treat me like I were her child, unfortunately for me, she only reciprocated what I gave and treated me just like a mere relative. so when I threw away just "a relative syndrome" it endeared us to each other. now, while I treat and acknowledge her as a mother, she also treats me as a child she bore from her own womb.
I have seen parents complain to me about their kids that are deviants to them, but when I related with these kids closely and studied them, I discovered that all they needed was just the love that could be given. The hate you give lives inside forever, the love you give heals and keeps crushed souls alive. You have to be intentional about giving love to people whenever and wherever.
In life, a lot of the affection we so much desire is the affections a lot of us hold back a time, you want to be loved but you are a hate promoter, you want to be showered gifts but you won't even take a glance at a begging little boy by your side. if there is anything that has brought us down here, it is the fact that we all forgot that love actually works. ‘What goes around’, they say, ‘comes around’, the hate you give is what you constantly get. And you know what, the universe doesn’t forget easily, and it lives there inside them forever until you give back love to neutralize the effect of that hate that you once gave.
Hoping that you’d start giving the love that you’ve been receiving, bye for now.
