A Better Time

A BETTER TIME

You look forward to a better time, you wake up each morning, and you say to yourself things will get better. What about yesterday when you went to mama Justice to buy just a derica of garri, and you thought “this is only for a while, better times are ahead”?

The lady who was kidnapped yesterday thought" it could get better tomorrow” but today she has been used for rituals.
Some people went to church a few weeks ago to pray with hope in their heart that better days are coming, but they weren't alive to witness the next day.

Since I was born, and now I am growing old, we have always being saying" better days are coming” but have you wondered that Nigeria hasn't gotten better at all? Let me take you on a memory lane.

While I was growing up, I remember buying some brands of powdered milk for #10, but gradually our better days brought a 40% increase to those milk today.

Again, there was a time when a Naira was equal to a dollar, but today the exchange rate is infuriating, and you will keep wondering that will this better days ever come for Nigeria?

Kidnapping rate continues to increase, tribalism, nepotism, terrorism too aren't left behind in this our better days they keep getting better at these things.

Anyway, we cannot keep sitting, folding hands and waiting for this better times to come, it is time to rise and go and meet this better times because better times as refused to come.

So, what do we do? Exactly, the right questions and here is the answer" get tired of the situation and act” don't just sit in your living room with your legs on your center table watching the news and shouting that they have kidnapped somebody again ooo.

Act, go out to sensitize people about getting a PVC, enlighten people about political parties and ask them to get involved.

Explain to them how selling their votes is like selling their better times. Tell them that their better times will not come if they keep collecting dericas of rice that wouldn't last a 4-year tenure, neither will the Ankara last them until they see their better times.

Don't forget to tell that thug or hoodlum that the politician he carries a weapon for will not hesitate to disassociate himself from him or her when reality comes to face.

Tell the market woman that dances around with this politician because of the 5k that, that 5k will not last 4 years ooo.

And if you think all these are not needed, I have no choice but to ask you" Shey suffer no dey tire you?”.
