DYNAMIC FOR PRESIDENT

The competition was growing hotter than an ember. You were starting to have second thoughts about everything. The tireless campaigns and your determination to become the Students' Union president. You have to admit that it is all futile.

I mean, take a look at Dynamic _ that's his campaign sobriquet. He doesn't persuade much with speech, as is expected of a law student. He had this charming smile that dug holes in either of his cheeks. His nose was straight and pointed. His eyes were bright and teasing. Girls liked to ruffle his hair and tug at his cheeks.

Dynamic is a 300-level law student and a rather foregrounded one at that. You rarely see him in the regular sparkling white shirt and dark trousers that were typical of law students. This must be one of the things people liked about him.

So Dynamic does not have to stress convincing his voters_ or rather “wooing” his voters. The girls were a sucker for him, and the girls always had their way.

Well, it's not like you have complete 

low -esteem for yourself. You are putting so much effort. In every bend and route, nine banners held your face; you're flashing wired teeth, your bulbous nose, and your shiny bald head. We thank God for photographers _ superb, expensive photographers.

But Dynamic did practically nothing, yet between your trek from the faculty to your hall of residence, twenty girls had shoved his flyers into your hand. You feel there is more to it, so you make your research.

Your girlfriend brings you feedback: Dynamic is originally Daniel Adeyemi Michael. He hails from a wealthy background, she says, a distant relative to the presiding state governor. Dynamic is an only child, loved and pampered by his parents, especially since they discovered he had heart disease at an early stage of his life.

But Dynamic doesn't look his troubles. He acts like an *ajepako* with a touch of class. He had even cornered her once, told her that he liked her energy and wanted her to be his girl.

“I have a boyfriend" You hear the disappointment in her tone, but you don't dare question it. You dread picking fights with her. After all, it still baffles you how such beauty stuck so long with you.

A few days to the manifesto night, Dynamic did not show up. The previous week was his wake. Dynamic had dropped in his study at 11 O'clock. It was almost midnight. There was no one to save him as he struggled to breathe for his life. Everyone was sorry that his condition caught up with him at last.

You watched those beautiful eyes widen in plea as his hands wrestled weakly to free his neck from your grasp.

You know what happened, don't you?
