IS HE READY ?, IS SHE READY?, ARE WE READY?
I may lack experience in this aspect I am about to delve into and so, you may see this as a not so good write up and may not take this write-up as not useful. This is because we are all so locked up with the archaic mentality that experience is the best teacher. But, let me bring to our understanding that, although I lack personal experience, I have little experience from real life scenes and some from written content of other peoples experience.So, let me share the little I have learnt.
To begin with, it is always wise to learn from people’s experience than to be an experience yourself so, do not be fooled by the quote experience is the best teacher.
Marriage in recent times has proven to be an issue that should be treated with great importance, this isn’t because things changed with marriages, it is because countless errors are now committed before marriages and during marriages.
The same rate with which we see marriages take place is the same way we see people rush out of marriage. Why? Because we all neglect what should be prioritized. So, this brings me to the question: is he ready? Is she ready? Are we ready?
Marriage is a union between two people, these two people must come to a agreement before marriage can take place, so know this:
she gets pregnant while you are dating doesn’t mean you should marry?
He is rich doesn’t qualify him as whom you should marry.
She is pretty, hardworking, and from a good home doesn’t mean you should marry. Although this is a good reason to marry, it is not enough.
Age isn’t on your side doesn’t mean you should marry.
Marriage brings respect for people isn't a criterion for you to marry.
Your parents shouldn’t be the reason you are getting married.
Troubles at home shouldn’t push you into marriage.
Nothing should make you marry until you and your spouse are ready.
I cannot list all the wrong reasons why people have married wrongly and therefore are regretting or suffering in their marriages, but the above are a few out of the major reasons why marriages are suffering.
So don't let me bore you with speeches because you've read time and time again that marriage is no joke. Therefore, if you're not ready to get married, don't do it for your partner, don't get into it because the other party wants it. You two need to be ready, after all you two are getting married, so wait until you guys(the two parties) are ready. Remember that true love is patient.
